After spending two weeks in Singapore there are lots of things that makes me think of home. Aside from my family, friends, my dogs, the convenience of not doing house work and driving, there are some of those little seemingly unimportant things that makes me miss or think of the Philippines.

  • PBA and boxing – Tomorrow is Manny Pacquiaos fight and I don’t know where I can watch it. I would rather have RPN-9 milking the fight with lots of commercials than not seeing the fight.
  • Isaw, fishball, balut etc.
  • Fruits – Mangoes here taste like apple mangoes(lasang gamot sya).
  • Pinoy Dream Academy – Impluwensya ni Aldwin to.
  • Politics – Philippine politics is like a telenovela.
  • Jollibee – Parang gusto kong mag-franchise dito.

    Get over it! :P

Frankly, two weeks is just about the right time for you to miss those things. IN a month, you will totally forget them and just rely on the internet for the news back home.

What you will not get over with is the food! Isaw, fishball, balut, jollibee, mangoes, your pancit malabon, halo-halo, dinuguan, kare-kare, lechon… hay, the list goes on. :)

I never miss Filipino Food. Oh wait. That’s because I eat it everyday. My mom cooks Filipino food since we have Asian stores all around. Magluto ka nalang. I bet ingredients there are almost the same, anyway.
    I really miss Jollibee. =P~
I quickly forgot about it, though, when I watched that video Carla sent. *scarred for life*
