To the moon and back
August 5, 2007
For the last two days I have nothing to do at the office except to follow-up on things and reply to some emails. I asked(surprisingly) for some tasks but my team lead could not give me anything. I really have no problem doing nothing(there are so many things that I like to read recently). But I do have a problem trying to look busy.

Needing to draw some UML diagrams I brought my book UML Distilled to the office as reference. When the business analyst of our team passed by, he asked me why am I not reading something that is not “distilled”. He did not know that it is one of the more excellent UML books.
They always said that never to judge a book by its cover. You should also never judge a book by its thickness nor by its title.

To the moon and back! Last night I tried G-Max(Reverse Bungy) at Clarke Quay. I was hurled up in the sky(200m) in a cage at 200kph.
Its not that scary. I was scared more while we were waiting for our turn. I was actually a shocked when I was hurled up in the air.

The last episode of Jekyll was shown last week. Well I did not like the ending that much. The way Tom Jackman’s family was saved, Tom Jackman to be alive and Hyde to disappear was too convenient.
Bionic Woman might be the next series that I will watch. All because of Michelle Ryan(the secretary of Tom Jackman in Jekyll).

I have been hitting the treadmill during weekends to strengthen my legs. I have a long period of inactivity because of knee pains. The basketball league in our office would be on early September but I do not know if I could play. I’m still hoping that I could break my career-high, which is embarrassingly just two points, in an official basketball game.
