Last Friday I had dinner with some of my ex-officemates. After eating we decided to go to a KTV at Orchard. Its a bit expensive, but then again its not everyday that you are with your videokemates.

Upon seeing the initial set of songs we were a bit disappointed. They do not have a booklet where you could browse the song and just enter the number. They have a second monitor for the menu where you can browse through the songs. Its a bit hard to search for the songs that you want because it only shows ten songs at a time. Its only later that we discovered that we can browse by artist. Some of the artist’s names are also wrong(Lea Salonga’s name was spelled Lea Sa Tonga).

We started with Alone(the list is alphabetical) had some Bon Jovis, Stevie Wonder, a bunch of oldies, some OPMs and murdered I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing. I almost can’t sing after I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.

Last week, my friend and I were compiling some videoke songs. This early we were preparing for our KTV session(when I get home this September). I do not like ballads and slow songs that much. If you have an 8-bit voice the deviation is a lot higher(trans: mas halatang sintonado ka). I find rock and fast songs are better. You can just shout it out.
